ROLE DESCRIPTION

'Unto the Castle' was a group project, developed to showcase an ability for and an understanding of 2D games design. The levels and game world were created by me using tile mapping, supplied by our Art team and range from a medieval village area and castle court yard to a throne room.

Considerations such as the players 3 different attacking mechanics, running speeds and health system had to be considered throughout the games design and development.

The creation of 'Unto the Castle' provided a great chance to learn about the workings of a 2D side-scroller game, the colliders and obstacles that can be used within a limited dimension and the effectiveness of tile mapping.

This group project was my first introduction to group version control whilst developing a game and for this, GitHub was used.
