ROLE DESCRIPTION

'Call Of Brookus' was a game developed by myself and 2 other games designers, thus the focus of the project was on the design potential as opposed to programming, art or audio. I was tasked with the design of the second playable island, the player characters mechanics, the combat system with enemy Ai characters and the dog character mechanics. Other areas focused on by my fellow game designers were the narrative and story, texturing and detailing (asset population) of the islands and puzzle systems.

This project was heavily story driven, with the aim of creating an immersive set-piece exploring the real-world problems of discrimination, disease, grief and loss whilst implementing progress prompting design techniques such as signposting and way pointing through the use of semiotics and in-game triggers.
